All of our clinicians are highly educated professionals who have undergone rigorous academic and clinical training in pediatrics. We maintain a high level of expertise through continuing education in order to provide the most up-to-date care for the young patients we are privileged to serve.
Frederick Mandell, MD
Dr. Mandell received his medical degree from University of Vermont College of Medicine and completed his Pediatrics Residency at Boston Children’s Hospital. He has been in practice for more than 20 years. Dr. Mandell has received multiple awards and accolades in recognition of his medical and teaching skills. He also speaks multiple languages, including German and Japanese. His hobbies include writing and spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Pamela Zuckerman, MD
Dr. Zuckerman graduated from medical school at Georgetown in Washington DC in 1972 and trained at Boston City Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital. She was a hospitalist at Franciscan Childeren's Hospita from1976-1988 where she cared for a diverse population of children, including those with special needs. There, she ran the residence program and the Child Abuse Team, and was acting Director of Pediatrics from 1980-1985. Since 1988 she has been in private practice in Brookline. Dr. Zuckerman continues to have a strong interest in behavioral and developmental issues and has volunteered her medical care internationally throughout her career.
Meredith Saillant, MD
Dr. Saillant completed undergraduate and graduate degrees at Brown University and University of Michigan, respectively, before graduating from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 2000. She completed her pediatric residency training at Children's Hospital Boston and Boston Medical Center through the Boston Combined Residency Program in Pediatrics. She founded the town-wide middle school baseline concussion screening progam in conjunction with the Town of Brookline in 2012 and has served as a consultant to the Pediatric Physicians Organization at Children's Hospital on their concussion treatment protocol. She has been in private practice in Brookline, Massachusetts since 2003.
Rebecca Horne, MD
Dr. Horne graduated from Brown Universiy and received her MD from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Before going to medical school, she spent a year in Eritrea working in HIV/AIDS awareness and a year working at Planned Parenthood's public outreach department. Dr. Horne completed her pediatric residency in the Boston Combined Residency Program at Boston Children's Hospital and Boston Medical Center. She spent several years at Boston Children's Hopital providing care for patients in the Young Parents Program. She has been in private practice at 1180 Beacon St since 2010.
Shana Zandman, MD
Dr. Zandman graduated from Cornell University where she studied Human Biology and Development. She received her MD from Mount Sanai School of Medicine in Manhattan and completed her pediatric residency at the Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center. Dr. Zandman completed one year as Chief Resident at Floating Hospital and then worked for two years in a busy pediatric private practice in Barrington, Rhode Island prior to joining Pediatrics at 1180 Beacon Street in January of 2014. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two young girls, cooking and international travel.
Colleen Kochman, RN, MSN, CPNP
Colleen Kochman RN, MSN, CPNP has been providing care to pediatric patients since graduating from nursing school in 1972. After graduating from Northeastern University's PNP program in 1980, she started to work with Dr. Marshall Reiner in Brookline and has continued to care for patients after his retirement. She has been on many statewide committees to improve child health in Massachusetts and has been very active in the MA Coalition of Nurse Practitioners, serving as its legislative chair for many years.ed as a Nurse Practitioner at the Teen Health Center at Brookside Community Health Center and completed a mini fellowship in Developmental and Behavioral Medicine at Boston Medical Center in 2013. Colleen's areas of special interest include lactation, nutrition, and developmental counseling as part of a holistic approach to providing primary care. She has extensive experience in obesity issues, having worked at the Optimal Weight for Life Clinic at Boston Children's Hospital for 10 years in addition to her primary care practice.
Katherine Zuckerman, RN, MSN, CPNP
Katherine Zuckerman, NP graduated from Wesleyan University in 1999. After completing an MFA at Pratt Institue and then living in South Korea, she returned to school to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She holds a BSN and MSN from Northeastern University and worked as a Registered Nurse at Codman Square Health Center and Planned Parenthood while completing her studies. She work
